WASHINGTON, DC – Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has signed guard/forward Alonzo Gee to a ten-day contract.  Per team policy, terms of the deal were not announced.

Gee (6-6, 220 lbs.) averaged 21.0 points (.509 fg%) and 6.6 rebounds per game in 36 games (35 starts) for the NBA D-League’s Austin Toros prior to becoming the 21st GATORADE call-up this season.  Gee notched a season-high 34 points for Austin vs. Sioux Falls on Jan. 6th, and also recorded four double-doubles (points and rebounds) for the Toros this season.  A four-year player at Alabama, Gee went undrafted in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Gee will be in uniform tonight in Boston (8:00 pm on CSN-HD, ESPN, 106.7 The Fan, and 1370 Sports Radio in Baltimore) and will wear uniform #24.
