In the end, the game comes down to one thing: man against man. May the best man win.

Parking

Jun 22, 2009 -- 2:45pm

The parking at Fed Ex at last season was at times a bear to deal with. For some reason, folks that tialgated, loved to take up more than one spot which was quite annoying and aggravating even when you arrived4 hours ahead of kickoff like I was and still getting into a spot was delicate. In an effort to quell the situation, the Redskins thankfully announced that there will be new procedures for parking this upcoming season.

The most significant new procedure will have parking attendants directing fans who wish to tailgate in more than one space to the back of lots, where they will be allowed to occupy two spaces until required for additional vehicles. Fans who wish to only park, or tailgate within their single parking spot, will be directed to the front of lots, filling the lot from front to back. Tailgating is permitted in all lots, except Platinum. Platinum lot parkers who choose to tailgate will be provided passes for Purple lots.

Tip of the cap to the Redskins for identifying the issues and trying to resolve it. Now let's see if it is executed.

Now Til July 30

Jun 16, 2009 -- 8:14am

Redskins have some time off until when they have to report July 29 at Ashburn and training camp commencing the next day. Coach Jim Zorn on what he wants to see out of his players until then. “What I have done is help them with some ideas. Especially reuniting with your family, maybe thanking your parents for how far you’ve come and how grateful they are about where their position is and being careful of decision making between now and when training camp starts.  That is tough because they are all spread out. Part of my call to them was make sure they stay in touch with each other and make sure they continue to encourage each other. There will be a lot of guys here working out, there will be a lot of guys working out together in different place and I totally expect them coming back here ready to go.”

Redskins Sign Another Rookie

Jun 12, 2009 -- 4:07pm

Redskins signed sixth-round draft pick Robert Henson.  The Redskins also released long snapper Jeremy Cain and linebacker Tyson Smith.  Looks like the Red Snapper Ethan Albright's job is safe.

Super Guy, He Will be Missed

Jun 12, 2009 -- 1:53pm

Veteran receiver James Thrash has been released by the Washington Redskins after failing a physical. Thrash has been unable to practice during the offseason because of a neck injury that has him contemplating retirement. He said recently his decision could hinge on whether he would need surgery to keep playing. Coach Jim Zorn said on Friday that he hopes Thrash will continue to be involved with the Redskins in some capacity. Thrash has played 12 seasons, including nine in two stints with the Redskins.

He worked out different places as well. So, he has been to a couple different places getting himself ready.” Meanwhile, the Redskins signed 5th round pick LB Cody Glenn and 7th round selection Eddie Williams.
